When should I start looking for my dress?

We find that this does depend on the bride!  However, in our experience we do find that 10 months is the ideal length of time. This should leave you enough time to order your dress and have alterations completed. If you do not have this length of time please still contact us as we maybe able to obtain your gown within a short time period.

Who should I bring with me?

We understand that this is a special time for you and your friends/family and therefore we know it's important for you to bring people with you.  We do ask though that you try to limit this to 2-3 people for a couple of reasons.  It will be a far more enjoyable experience for you as too many opinions can be unhelpful and confusing.  It is important to remember that it is your opinion that is most crucial so you don’t want to feel confused or distracted from your mission to find the perfect dress!

Secondly, we have limited space in our changing suite.  Too many people crowded into the area can prove chaotic.  We want you to relax and enjoy your time at our boutique. 

What is the price range of your gowns?

Typically our gowns range from £1100 to £4000 thus ensuring a wide range for everyone to find their dream dress. We have sample gowns available to purchase which range approximately from £300 - £1000.


Do you charge for appointments?

We do not charge but for our appointments we do ask for details from a payment card which is held securely via Stripe. This is to allow us to charge a £25 fee if you fail to attend your appointment or do not give us the required 72 hours notice of cancellation. We do charge £15 for appointments arranged outside of our normal opening hours. This can be redeemed against any dress purchase. The additional £25 charge also applies if you fail to attend an out of hours appointment.


Do you price match?

Our gowns are all sold at each of our designers' Recommended Retail Price (RRP) - but in the unlikely event that you find any dress that we stock sold locally for less then we will be happy to match the price, (excluding sample sale/off the peg gowns).


What sizes are your sample gowns?

Due to the nature of wedding dresses, it is highly unlikely that any sample dress will fit you perfectly. Its amazing what we can do with some pins to give you the best indication of how your dress will look once fitted. The sample sizes we tend to stock range from a 10-16.

Do you have off the peg and sale dresses?

Yes. Often we have to make way for new collections arriving from our designer’s and we also have the occasional discontinued dress. This means we often have gorgeous designer wedding dresses in our sample sales. Please call or email for details for current sample sale dresses available.


What happens at my appointment?

During your appointment, you will receive a one-to-one personalised consultation with one of our highly trained bridal consultants who will help you find your dream dress.  Once we have found out a little bit about you and the style you wish to achieve at your wedding, the fun really starts as you have a look through all of our dresses and choose which ones you would like to try on.  Your consultant will then help you into the gowns before the grand reveal to your friends and family.

We can then help you complete your look to perfection with our beautiful collection of shoes, hair pieces, boleros and veils.


Do you provide a fitting service?

All of our brides have the option to use our extremely talented seamstress.  The cost of alterations are NOT included in the price of your gown. Usually, you will need a maximum of 2-3 fittings and prior to buying, we can provide you with guidelines as to the cost of possible alterations.  

When your dress arrives, we will contact you to invite you to come in and try on your dress. You are also then required to pay the final balance outstanding on your dress. At this point we can discuss and arrange your fittings. When you come for your first fitting, you need to remember to bring with you the shoes and underwear you intend to wear on your wedding day.

Can I come in to view your accessories only?

Of course! Even if you have purchased you dress elsewhere we would love to assist you in completing your look.  Please see our accessories page for further details of our range. 

Am I able to use your seamstress for dresses not purchased from you?

Alina is more than happy to alter dresses that have not been purchased at MiliMili.  Give us a call and we will book you in so she can work her magic!
